Expert’s answer:
Based on the user’s question, it seems they are asking whether animals like white vinegar. The user’s request does not require a long, detailed answer.
Short Answer:Animals have different reactions to white vinegar. Some animals, like fruit flies, mice, and certain pests, are deterred by the smell of vinegar and will avoid areas where it is present. However, it is important to note that vinegar is not universally liked by all animals, and some may not be affected by it or may even be attracted to it. Additionally, it is not recommended to use vinegar directly on pets as it can cause irritation.
Detailed Answer:Animals have varying reactions to white vinegar. Here are some examples:
- Fruit Flies: Fruit flies are repelled by the smell of white vinegar. You can make a fruit fly trap by filling a clear bowl or jar with 2 inches of white vinegar, covering it with plastic wrap, and poking a few holes in the wrap with a toothpick.
- Mice: Mice are also known to dislike the scent of vinegar. Using white vinegar around your home may help deter them from entering certain areas. However, it is important to consider other approaches to address a mouse infestation or potential infestation in your home.
- Pests: Some pests, such as stray cats, dogs, and even certain insects, may be deterred by the smell of vinegar. They are less likely to enter or mark your property if they detect the vinegar scent.
It is important to note that not all animals have the same reaction to vinegar. Some animals may not be affected by it or may even be attracted to it. Additionally, it is not recommended to use vinegar directly on pets as it can cause irritation.
In conclusion, while some animals are repelled by the smell of white vinegar, it is not universally disliked by all animals. It can be used as a natural deterrent for certain pests, but caution should be exercised when using vinegar around pets.

Do rabbits and bunnies actually smell? My mom won’t let me have one because she thinks they smell. Do they?
🧑 Amy Christa Ernano · Created: 03.10.2021 · Updated: 03.10.2021
Rabbits are very clean animals, and when kept in a clean environment, they themselves have no smell at all. (I just sniffed Eddie to reinforce my point — no smell whatsoever, totally neutral.)Their poop also has no real smell (I mean, it’s basically just recycled hay). Easily the most inoffensive animal poop I’ve ever had to deal with.Their pee, ho…

Rabbits don’t smell, so if you have a smell coming from your rabbit’s enclosure or litterbox, chances you’re not keeping it clean enough. If your rabbit is in a cage — which I do not condone; rabbits don’t belong in cages — its entire environment is basically a giant litterbox, and needs to be cleaned a couple of times a week to keep urine smell fro…

Why does bleach smell so good?

It isnt the bleach which smells good but the added scents. I like white vinegar plus a few teaspoons of any dish liquid with grease cutters. This makes a great floor cleaner, washes counters and sinks. I don’t suggest Dawn because It is a Proctor and Gamble product and they still do testing on animals. I double checked and this is no longer true….

7 Vinegar Uses for Pet Owners
Annotation: Vinegar can help with urinary tract infections in dogs and cats, but the pH level in their urine must be determined before use. Apple cider vinegar works best for pH above 7, while vinegar may not work for pH below 7. Treating a urinary tract infection at home can be dangerous. Collect a urine sample and take it to a vet for an urinalysis to get information about pH, white blood cells, bl
ood in the sample, concentrating ability, crystal formation, and possible bacteria. The vet will advise on appropriate treatment.

Does White Vinegar Get Rid Of Mice? – BioTech Termite & Pest Control
Annotation: The effectiveness of white vinegar to get rid of mice is debated, but it can be used in three ways: spraying it around the building, using it as bait in a trap, and soaking cotton balls in it. Before using white vinegar, it is important to determine if there are any food sources available for the mice. The acetic acid in white vinegar will dissolve the waxy outer coating of insects, making it a more effective rat repellent than just the smell. White vinegar is a safe and affordable method to stop mice from entering homes or offices. It can also be used as a deterrent or a killer to spray directly on the mouse. However, experts need further research to determine its effectiveness. The best way to ensure that white vinegar stops mice is to use all three methods and make sure there is no food source available. If you are looking for an effective way to protect your home from mice, there is nothing better than making use of white vinegary solutions.

Why Dogs Don’t Like Vinegar
Annotation: Dogs have a sensitive sense of smell, and vinegar is one of the things that drives them away due to its acrid smell. Dogs have around 300 million olfactory cells, making them able to easily identify particles found in the air or objects and determine the exact location of these smells. Vinegar is a good thing to use for cooking or cleaning, but it means another thing to dogs. It can be used to keep dogs off furniture and prevent destructive behaviors such as chewing on furniture. However, it should not be directly sprayed on plants as it can possibly damage them. A highly concentrated combination of vinegar and water is effective enough to discourage dogs, and homemade repellents are easier to prepare and are often made of ingredients that can be easily found around the house. Apple cider vinegar is an effective product in preventing dogs from smelling bad smells, but be careful not to mix it with shampoo as it burns and burns your dog’s head. Vinegars sour taste can also prevent your dog from chewing. It is more suited for outdoor use and should be used with clear vinegar such as white vinegar or mildly colored apple cider vinegar. Always use caution when spraying materials and do not reuse an old bottle as the residue of the previous content will remain and dilute the smell of vinegar. The Wag! Fact or Fiction: Does Vinegar Really Keep Bugs Away?
Annotation: Vinegar is a natural insect repellent that has been around for over 3,000 years. It is commonly used in baking, cooking, and weight loss. Vinegar is made through the process of fermentation of various liquids and alcohols, which eventually leads to the formation of acetic acid. The acidic nature of vinegar ensures that the bugs not repelled are killed when coming into contact with the vinegar. Despite its sour taste and acidic nature, vinegar can be useful in many ways.

Vinegar As a Cat Repellent
Annotation: Cats dislike the smell of vinegar, but it can be used as a humane and effective way to deter them indoors and outdoors. For outdoor cat repellent, soak old rags in white vinegar and spray them on garden accessories, tree bases, plants, borders, posts, and fences. For indoor cats, use a lower concentration vinegar mixture cat spray to keep them away from certain surfaces or furniture. Test surfaces before applying vinegar to ensure it won’t cause damage. Red wine vinegar and cats also work as repellents, but dilute it with one to two parts water to avoid harm to plants. To deter territorial urine marking, immersing cotton balls or sponges in vinegar and placing them in areas of urine marking. To dissuade cats from resting, sleeping, or scratching in certain spots, wave a cloth moistened with white vinegar near them. Keep undiluted vinegar secured and out of their reach as it can cause vomiting, diarrhea, oral irritation, and pain. Consider spaying indoor cats to reduce problematic behavior.

3 Household Cleaners That Are Harmful To Pets
Annotation: Many household cleaners contain toxic chemicals that can pose a risk to pets. Ammonia is a common chemical in household cleaners, but it causes severe damage to pets’ respiratory systems, eyes, and stomach. Vinegar is an excellent alternative to ammonia. Bleach is highly toxic to pets, and if used, it can damage their fur or respiratory system. Carpet cleaners contain glycol ethers, which can cause lung damage and even cancer over the long term. It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to household cleaners and chemicals.
